Those rubbing their hands in anticipation of this summer’s World Cup Finals in Germany will be glad to hear of Samsung’s plans to keep you permanently in touch with the football calendars biggest event. The firm has announced its plans to officially unveil the SGH-P900 at next week’s 3GSM exhibition in Barcelona. The SGH-P900 fully supports Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB), which is the standard that is to be used for test broadcasting of the World Cup Finals. The phone will be able to receive broadcasts, which can be viewed on a swanky QVGA, swivel 2.2-Inch screen. These TV broadcasts can then be recorded to the phone internal 128 Meg of memory. Those interested in saving any highlights rather than literally just the goals however may want to consider upgrading the memory via the microSD slot. If you find the prospect of trying to spot the ball on a mobile phone a little tricky, it comes with a lead that allows you to watch any recording on a big-screen TV. The SGH-p900 is expected to hit the streets in the second quarter of this year, giving you ample time to ready yourself for the World Cup on the go. source cex.co.uk

The SGH-P900 fully supports Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB), which is the standard that is to be used for test broadcasting of the World Cup Finals. The phone will be able to receive broadcasts, by 2010 terestrial signals will not be broadcast, the government plans everyone to be on digital signals. However this poses a problem as digital signals are used in the lifeguard and in airplanes, if the signal is picked up by a freeview box it wont work, and if a phone sends out a signal to a lifeguard it could kill people. But this phone now for like a hell of alot of money and it will be renderd worthless by 2010
