I could not possible be any less bothered. More people die from the common cold ever year than they do bird flu. You've got to be practically licking chicken shit to get it anyway. I've not paid much attention to it but I imagine the goverment is completely over reacting and killing every bird in sight in order to shut up the ignorant general public regardless of the effect it may have on the livlyhoods of farmers, much the same as they did with the whole foot and mouth affair.
To prove my point, last year 2,000 people died from the common cold. Bird flu has killed, what? 60 people? In its entire existance? Lets keep things in perspective here. Im more conerned I'll get hit by a plane when I cross the road at 7am than I am that I'll catch bird flu. Thats how bothered I am.
Edit: After a little more research, the actual figure is just over 100 people have been killed by bird flu since it came into existance. The dead swan they found in Scotland is still not certainly the same flu everyones having a fit about, they still have more tests to run.

Lol the one concern with Bird Flu is that even though you do have to be "licking chicken shit" to get it, it can mutate. Last time Bird Flu was a bout it was a pandemic outbreak of originated in China in 1957 and spread worldwide that same year, lasting until 1958. It killed between 1 nad 4 million people too, so if it mutates we're fucked
It hasnt yet htough! WEEE!
Basically wash all chicken thoroughly before eating and make sure its cooked, unless its chicken nuggets in which case you're ok. Most meat you buy in supermarkets will have been killed and frozen before the birdflu started anyways, its only fresh meat you should have any concern over.
